Wendy Duff investigated how collaboration works on multi-disciplinary, multi-location digial library project teams. Her recommendations were:

-          Embrace diversity by assuming differences. Face to face meetings to negotiate differences, establish new working vocabularies speciifc to the dig project, and establish project objectives, outcomes, and tasks

-          Teams might consider more formal training directed to dig project teams needs

-          Teams might incorporate team and self-reflection to ensure active learning from projects.  “Collaborative state of mind” which sees the value in other perspectives.
